AestheticGamer หรือ Dusk Golem นักปล่อยข่าววงในของเกมซีรีส์ Resident Evil ได้ตอบคำถามผ่านทาง Twitter ของตัวเองเกี่ยวกับข้อมูลใหม่ของ Resident Evil Requiem ที่จะวางจำหน่ายในปีหน้านี้ หนึ่งในคำถามสำคัญของช่วงที่ผ่านมาก็คือ Leon S. Kennedy จะได้เป็นตัวเอกหลักของเกมภาคนี้หรือไม่? ซึ่งเขาก็ตอบว่า Leon และ Grace คือตัวเอกหลักที่มีส่วนสำคัญมาก ๆ ของเกมภาคนี้ และจากข้อมูลหลาย ๆ ด้านที่เขามี ภาคนี้จะเหมือนเป็นเกมที่เป็นการอำลาแก่ Leon ด้วย

และพอมีการถามถึงบทบาทของ Leon ในภาค Requiem Dusk Golem อธิบายเพิ่มเติมว่า บทบาทของเขานั้นจะมีมากกว่าของ Chris ในเกมภาค Village แต่เขาก็ไม่ได้กล่าวเจาะจงว่า ในภาคนี้ชะตากรรมของ Leon จะเป็นอย่างไร และเขามองว่าตอนจบของ Leon ในเกมนั้นจะเป็นเหมือนกับการกล่าวอำลาว่า เขานั้นแก่เกินไปแล้ว และควรได้เกษียณเสียที อะไรแบบนั้นมากกว่า
